"Taking a bat to breast cancer one swing at a time."

In Loving Memory - Lynn Varoz

J. Lynn Varoz
1940 ~ 2016
Our earthly angel Lynn passed away unexpectedly on January 31, 2016 surrounded by her family due to a massive hemorrhagic stroke.
Lynn was born in Pocatello, ID on June 3, 1940 to James B. Perkins and Elizabeth Ann Sims. On July 19, 1961 she married her high school sweetheart Ray and they have been inseparable ever since.
Lynn embodied a tremendous amount of poise and grace. She had a warm heart and home that she always made you feel welcome within. You always left feeling better and more loved than before you arrived. A true blessing to have had in all our lives. Lynn cherished the time spent with her family and friends, which were her most treasured moments. Lynn truly was the rock of our family. Her love and guidance throughout each and every one of our lives will forever be remembered and honored.
Lynn enjoyed gardening, crocheting, home decorating, bargain shopping and spending time at the cabin. She attended all the activities and events of her children and grandchildren and was always their biggest fan. Lynn crocheted blankets for family and friends which are keepsakes that will be treasured forever. Although Lynn left us far too soon, she spent the past year building meaningful memories with family. She definitely went out on top.
She is survived by her husband Ray, their four children Eric (Marci), Brett, Leslie (Penny), and Erin (Brook), her sister Trudy Staley, 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carolyn (sister), Roman & Bernadette Varoz (parents in law), Dennis Staley & Roman Varoz Jr. (brothers in law) and Edythe Varoz (sister in law).
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State Street in Murray, Utah. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service and from 6-8 pm on Friday, February 5th. Graveside and interment to follow at Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 E. 4580 S., Salt Lake City, Utah.
